    This one hour class will be for the intermediate to advanced archers. It will teach you how to become a “do-it-yourself-er” and have more confidence in your set up. This class will be full of information that most archers have never thought of, it will make you more aware and understanding to make your choices easier and less confusing. Class will consist of:

    • Teaching how to correctly inspect your old and new arrows before using them.
    • How to properly remove old components that might be worn and/or broken.
    • How to clean and install new components.
    • Basic knowledge on how to remove old fletching and prepping the arrow shafts to get it ready to install the bright new look for your arrows this seasons.
    • The difference in off set and how it affects your arrow and accuracy.
    • Which vane works best for your set up.
    • How to properly choose arrow size and spine, while also explaining the difference in them.

    Description:
    Required NC course to receive a permit to carry a concealed handgun. A certificate is issued at the completion of the course that will be accepted by any sheriff in NC when applying for a Concealed Carry Handgun (CCH) permit. The course includes classroom instruction on handgun safety and operation, concealed carry techniques and on the current NC laws on the use of deadly force. At the end of the course there is a shooting exercise at targets placed at 3, 5 and 7 yards from the shooter and requires 50 rounds of ammunition to complete.

    If you do not have a handgun, you can rent one for an additional fee.

    1. Attend the entire class
    2. All handguns and ammo are to be locked in your vehicle until your instructor directs you to get them
    3. Absolutely NO AMMO in the classroom at anytime.
    4. Handgun of choice. Hand guns must be in good working order.
    5. Provide your own eye and ear protection and ear muffs. Foam ear plugs are not allowed.
    6. Ammunition must be brass cased. No aluminum cased or steel cased ammo.
    7. 50 rounds of proper ammo to complete shooting exercise.

    This is a 2-hour seminar to teach you how to properly clean a firearm. During our gun cleaning seminar, we will discuss how to safely and properly disassemble and maintain your firearm. We will show you areas to inspect, clean and properly lubricate. During the class, you will be shown how to properly use at least 15 different cleaning products to keep your firearm working properly. Whether you just bought a new firearm or have had one for years, cleaning is the key to getting the most out of your gun. Why is it important to clean your firearm after each use? Carbon fouling, metal buildup and moisture are three enemies that can compromise your firearms accuracy and function. Whether on the range, in the field or in a personal defense situation, it’s critical that your firearm performs reliably when you need it most!

The goal of the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting-Instructor Led Training course is to teach students the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. The course will cover both the revolver and the semi-automatic action types in detail. This course is an event starting point for the new or the soon to be pistol owner looking to become more proficient with their firearm. This course is a prerequisite course for individuals seeking to become NRA Pistol Instructors.

    This is a 4-6 hour seminar that teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude for developing a strategy for one’s person safety. The seminar includes classroom instruction on a variety of crime prevention strategies, from criminal psychology to automobile crimes to cyber-crime. This is not a firearms instruction course, and does not include instruction in physical combat self-defense. Seminars teach about common weaknesses that criminals may take advantage of, and teaches a variety of corrective measures that are practical, inexpensive and easy to follow. Strategies include home security, carjack avoidance techniques, cyber safety and use of person safety devices.
